Mr. Mark Voyger

Senior Fellow

He has been serving as the Cultural Advisor and Senior Russia Expert at NATO’s Allied Land Command since 2013. Between 2009 and 2013 he worked for the US Army in Iraq and Afghanistan as a Social Scientist and Red Teamer. Mr. Voyger has also worked for NGOs and think tanks in the US and Eastern Europe on the issues of post-Communist transition and democratization, and NATO enlargement. Mr. Voyger was involved in Governor Mitt Romney’s Presidential campaign in 2007-2008 and 2011-2012 when he was part of the campaign’s Russia experts working group.

Mr. Voyger is fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Arabic, Turkish, French, Spanish and Italian; and has a working knowledge of Portuguese, German and Farsi.

Mr. Voyger holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy (MALD) degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University, and a Master of Public Administration (MPA2) degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Mr. Voyger has also done Ph.D. work in Middle Eastern Studies at Cambridge University.
